Pearls from the East , June 25-26, 2016
Under the aegis of Oculoplastics Association of India & Ophthalmic Society of West Bengal, The Himalayan Eye Institute in collaboration with North Bengal Ophthalmic Club, organized an international conference on Oculoplasty & Ocular Oncology from 25th to 26th June 2016, at Montana Vista, Siliguri. Following eminent guest faculty from all over India, Nepal & Bangladesh participated in the conference:

There were about110 national and international delegates sharing knowledge and skills during this event. This is for the first time such a mega conference is organized in North Bengal in the field of Ophthalmology.
Glaucoma Week Celebration and CME:
On the eve of WORLD GLAUCOMA WEEK, The Himalayan Eye Institute, in collaboration with North Bengal Ophthalmic Club (NBOC) and Glaucoma Society of India (GSI) organized various awareness activities and a CME on Glaucoma on Sunday, the 6th March 2016.
9th OSWB Academic Meeting, Kolkata 28th August 2016
Dr Supratik Banerjee, Chief Eye Surgeon of The Himalayan Eye Institute, was one of the speakers at the 9th OSWB Academic Meeting organized by the Ophthalmogical Society of West Bengal. Retina Update: 2016 November 5, 2016, Siliguri
Diabetes increases the risk of a range of eye diseases, but the main cause of blindness associated with diabetes is diabetic retinopathy (DR). On November 5th 2016, The Himalayan Eye Institute is organizing a CME to discuss issues related to DR in presence of Eminent Retina Specialists and Renowned Diabetologists, Physicians and Endocrinologists of North Bengal.
